Vaccinations

pets

Vaccination offers the most effective way of protecting your pet throughout their life against many of the most serious infectious and fatal diseases.

For dogs these are

-Distemper

-Hepatitis

-Leptospirosis

-Parvovirus

-Parainfluenza

Vaccination for puppies is given from 8 weeks of age, with a second vaccination given 3-4 weeks later. They can go for walks approximately one week after their second vaccination but you should avoid waterways where rats frequent for 2 weeks post vaccination as rats spread Leptospirosis in their urine.

    For cats these are:

    -Infectious feline enteritis (panleucopaenia)

    -Feline rhinotracheitis (herpes virus)

    -Feline calicivirus

    -Feline leukaemia

Vaccination is given from 9 weeks of age, with a second vaccination given 3-4 weeks later.

      For rabbits these are:

      -Myxomatosis

      -Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease

Vaccination is given from 5 weeks of age.

To maintain your pet’s immunity against these diseases a yearly booster is required. We will send you a reminder when it is due but please make sure you keep their vaccination certificate in a safe place and make a note on the calendar when it is due!
