Radiography

We have state of the art digital Radiography allowing us to perform any X-rays your pet may require.

We are also able to perform X-Rays for the Kennel Club B.V.A Hip and Elbow Canine Health Schemes and have dentistry X-Ray available to provide a complete diagnostic image of your pet's teeth and roots allowing us to make informed decisions regarding tooth extraction and resorptive lesions, especially common in cats.

Another diagnostic method available is endoscopy using either a gastroscope or a bronchoscope. Just like in humans they are cameras on long tubes which allow us to look inside certain areas of the body.

They allow visual examination of inside of the throat, stomach, intestines and airways. We can use them to take various samples from these tissues. Although endoscopy requires a general anaesthetic, it is a much less invasive way of obtaining samples than explorative surgery.

They are also a vital aid in helping to remove foreign objects such as a fishing hooks and socks from dogs without the need for surgery.
